93 p/u front end to 4runner. side blinker dont work?
i baught a 93 pickup with a 4 runner front end...forgive me if i'm stupid..but i'm sure the front corner lights are supposed to blink with the blinkers on.
it'll light up and stuff...but it just doesnt blink. i want it too.
is there a relay out or something?

thank you. and also...now tha ti think about it it makestotal since considering they are always on. i dont think it can serve as two functions.
well now i just have to figure out why one side has high beam working only. should be an easy fix. thanks for the quick response.

the hummer is the previous owners i think. i'm not too sure. its at a dealer though. i'm not enough of a ballar for that. i live in washington. so not too far away. any good yota meets?
as far as dual options on a single always running bulb...i was thinking maybe if you hook up a relay inline with the corner lights and then run the positive side of actual blinkers to active the relay hooked up to the one inline with the corners. that way its always on when you turn them on and then it'll just go on off when you signal. or just drill another hole for another bulb. i was just thinking its kinda dangerous if no one can see you signaling...they dont really look infront of the car...more on the side.

I was searching wiring stuff today and read a thread where someone did this. It is really quite simple.
You need two sockets that use an 1157 bulb. The bulb is dual element and I think one is 25 w and the other 7 w. Just take the wires from the blinker and park light and wire the white ones together for a common ground. Then with a little trial and error you want the bright one to be the blinker. Now you have to modify the corner light cover with a dremel tool or something to accept the new socket. You could still have the bottom ones too if you just tap into the wires.
