93-95 alternator on a 91 3vze?

Hello all and sorry if this question was asked before, couldnt find info with the search engine. So my alternator catched fire a couple of days ago, but I got it on time and put it away with water(!) as my mechanic suggested. Imo that was stupid as hell, but its over now. Anyway, now I am looking for a new alternator, my mechanic thinks that the diodes are done on this one. Can I use the alternator for 3vze for 93 to 95 years, or have to be strictly 88-92 model? Part number on mine is 27060-65020. Its always better to use old OEM instead of a brand new chinese, right?

Thanks!

Now I read online that the voltage and pulley (4s) are the same, but the 65040 (93 to 95 model year) is 70 amp, compared to the 60 amp for my truck. Is this a no-go?

But now I see that the connector is different. It seems I can only use a 88-92 type of alternator.

i used the guts of the denso alternator from my '88 parts rig with a 3vze to repair the failed denso alternator in one of my '87 22re trucks. the guts are the same, but the case halves and pulley were different, so i used the originals of those from my 22re. still working 8 months later.
