Post '92 truck w/water in oil pan

I'm not a mechanic, but am trying to save my only means of transportation as cheaply as possible. Driving around town and engine starts to sputter a little bit, water temp gauge was fine, oil temp was fine, then oil temp starts to go up. Pulled over and allowed to cool; fluid level in radiator was very low, although overflow tank was not empty. Checked oil and found it to be grayish in color. Drained oil and refilled radiator but had to stop working because of weather. Next day checked radiator and fluid level was low again, even though I never cranked up the truck. Opened up drain plug on oil pan and about a cup of water ran out. Is there anything I can do, short of taking to shop, to try to seal the leak or am I wasting my time? I bought a product that is supposed to seal gaskets and block cracks, but don't want to waste my money if I have no choice other than taking to shop. Any ideas?

1st check the timing chain guides see if they are broken thus allowing timing chain to wear a hole in the T cover then allowing oil in water. This requires, timing chain, gears, steel guides and TC tensioner and timing cover.

or- blown head gasket, warped or cracked head, damaged block.

anyway you look at it,,,it's gonna be some money and time....
