your not gonna like either one. If your gonna redo the whole exhaust might as well step to the 2.25" even without a header. I don't know if you like my exauhst note or not, you've heard it in person, but it does resonate in the cab quite a bit. Putting the cat on took some of that away though but even still. Mine is just a cheapy Thrush Turbo.

at this point I need cheap....loud is not an issue.....loud and annoying is not an issue (I'm married) so really my only concern is a tailpipe.....does it need to exit away from the truck or could I just do it under like spacejunk did recently?

Pretty sure PA states must exit body line and behind cab, but that's up for interpretation, some consider body lines only the vertical parts of the body, but I say that also includes the horizontal parts too.

me thinks the truck will be parked by the end of the month when the inspection expires and I will just drive the caddy. i don't have the time or the money to juggle all this stuff right now. work is killing me. not being able to work on Joe's truck is killing me.if I am going to be doing any "wrenching" I want it to be on Joe's truck. I went from not wanting to really work on his motor because it was too complicated to not being able to because I am always at work, or exhausted or have a zillion other things going on.

You should have the tailpipe extend beyond the bed, I have seen many a toyota pickup with big rust holes right where the exhaust blows into the bedside

Jerry Does your truck need both safety and emissions stickers? Or just the safety? You can always try to take it to Pete Broody's up here by me, he might inspect it even with the leaky exhaust. His state inspection is only $15 too.

hi kids.

well, monday my truck ended it's last trip for a while...to complement my hole in the muffler, now the patch job on the pipe that broke last summer finally fell apart. not going to patch it again either. it's done.

so my truck is parked.....caddy just got inspected, so finger's crossed, we will have no issues with the cadillac.

need to focus all of our attention to finishing Joe's 4runner. need this thing done and inspected ASAP so we can have a spare vehicle.

plans for my truck (in my good old SLOOOOOOOW fashion)

-remove bed (hehehehehe)
-remove driver's side door to replace with extra one I have (another hehehehe)
-remove passenger's side fender to try to save it from rust (getting bad)
-replace shocks
-paint frame
-diff breathers
-??ZUK mod to give a lift
-BJ spacers??
-replace exhaust
-33's locked and re-geared (big hehehehehehe)
-attach new bumper
-paint truck

basically this truck needs it's due .......since Joe's is almost done and pretty much perfect shape, this ought to keep us busy for the rest of our lives

parking the truck in the yard to get it out of the driveway since I can't use it now....figured we'd mess around with the dirt pile we have

left rear is off the ground. probably f there was some weight in the bed I'd be on the bump-stops...but i'm not

and doing the same with the wife's 4runner (Treadwrights are doing just fine). thought we had a pic of the passenger's tire stuffed, but i guess not

anyway....soon....very soon.

as seen 2 posts up, my driver's side door has had it. rusted through and bondo'd to all hell, it was time to put on the MATCHING door I've had in the garage for 2 years. with my back feeling like crap, thank goodness Joe is strong enough to do all the bull work.

door off (need tube door???)

new one on

and I was switching over the door handles / locksets because i don't have a key for the new door and .........well, gotta watch that door framing, it will shred ya.

still debating on whether i should go get some stitches....and a tetanus shot.
