90 PU body swap to 84-86 body

don t worry i searched. so i have a 90 PU that the body is pretty wrecked. lots of run ins with rocks and hard stuff. anyway ill be coming back from deployment in awhile and i invested some money and it actually worked out for me so i am completely re building my entire truck from the axles up. with shortened D60s front and rear 7mgte supra swap and what ever else i want for it. i want to swap bodies with an older toy PU. other then wiring harness stuff will the bodies swap over. or am i going to have to biuld new mounts and stuff

I know that the beds will swap out, we put a 94 bed on my dads 85 pickup and the mounts lined up. I'm not sure on the cab mounts. Maybe some one can get you some measurements from their truck and you can compare it with yours. I would but I drive a 94 4 runner now.

Well if your shortning the axles I wuoldnt see why you would be worried about doing a little body work to match every thing up. I asked my homie a while ago about the same thing, 1st gen 4runner on my 91 and he was all about it. I say go for it & make sure to let us know how it goes.
