90 4runner turns over wont start

So i was driving my 4 runner down the freeway and it just gave out there was a weird smell about 10 miles before it gave out..i didn't lose power the battery was still on radio lights everything still worked...when i finally came to a stop on the side of the freeway all of my oil spilled out on the ground..i thought it was just that so i put more oil in and a new filter...still didn't start...towed it back to my house the next day saw the distrib. cap was cracked replaced that...nothing...next day replaced coil and igniter because i wasn't getting spark, now i get spark but it still wont start. Could it be maybe a fuel pump/filter issue or maybe air intake?? I have the chiltons for it but its not really useful unless i know exactly what the problem is.. Also I think the oil spilling out was just coincidence maybe ...i know that happens when you blow a head gasket but when i checked the oil after it wasn't white my coolant was fine and it wasn't smoking at all from anywhere... I think i just need to tighten my oil pan possibly... but any help or suggestions would be awesome because I'm just randomly replacing things that i think it might be and I'm getting more broke everyday..I'm having no luck so far thanks
