90 4runner..need torque for axle end bolt & Q?of inner differential hub.pics included

this is for a 1990,4runner,3.0,automatic,4x4,sr5 with the ADD front locking system.
to begin with, i havent found too many people that knows this particular ADD type front differential. so finding this torque spec isnt any easier.
nope...no book or manual even shows the ADD, not anyone that I have looked in.
any help here?

also...the inner axle hub...on the front differential...the one with the splined bolts...

I noticed upon reassembly of the shaft. this hub had a little less or about 1/4" of in n out play.
is this normal?
i dont offroad and only use 4wheel drive in bad snow. which isnt too often.
any help here again?
this play...normal or gonna be a problem someday?

ps...the vehicle was in a pretty good front end collision before i bought it.
when i last used the 4wheel drive. it owrked fine and i had no complaints.
thanx
Dutch

just tigthen that bolt (on the axle shaft end) as tight as you can ..dont use a cheater bar or anything. You'll have to hold the cv halfshaft somehow to keep it from spinning.. I justed used vice grips on mine.

That bolt is jsut there to keep the axle from sliding out incase the CV half shaft fails.

Not sure on the play on the differential side axle.. ... Looks like the right hand side one right? ... its held in by a snap ring inside but im not sure what play is normal sorry

Be very careful about that axle end bolt. It doesn't take much to twist it off. 13 ft-lbs is all it takes.

Remember that link I sent you (which is also posted in a sticky at the top of this section). The entire FSM is there, including ADD and all torque specs.
