'90 22RE 'Runner: Simple Brake Upgrades? Yeah, I Searched...
Tried a few different searches, but wanted specific advice. Running the 4cyl/2nd Gen 4Runner, almost time for a brake job. Pulls slightly to the left anyhow, so thinking that the old calipers should just be replaced. Don't want to touch the master cylinder, not interested in slotted/drilled rotors.
Question: is there a V6 upgrade in calipers/rotors available for me? Direct bolt on? With my 15" rims?
Was thinking that I could just go to NAPA and ask for V6 hardware. Am I wrong? Read about the "finned" and "larger" caliper/rotor setup for the V6's. Heck, I don't even recall what I currently have/run, but wanted to do an upgrade if it's all the same once I dive in...
TIA

I'm also trying to figure out this idea.
The theory is that the V6 style caliper had 4 larger pistons, instead of the 4cyl 2 large and 2 small
But I thought that the '90s runners all had the 4 large...
I'm just as confused as you are. Heh.
