good job man! i'm jealous of the e-locker. should paint your 3rd to match the freshly painted axle. also, too late now, but should have had the shop weld on some new shock mounts (for U-bolt flip) while they had it, especially if you're goin' down trails like fordyce. are those new CV bolts grade 8? they look like a regular grade bolt. i'd keep your stock ones around just in case - take a grinder to the ridges and they become bolts instead of studs. all us sac-vicinity YT'ers need to plan a trip for the summer!
as for the trip planning, I'm already on it...No one's bitten though lol

I though about it, but I didn't wanna deal with the axle seal etc...I may do that later down the road if it becomes a problem.

I went out wheelin up at Bob's place, and it was awesome!!! The truck did unbelievable with the gears and locker! Didn't get any good pictures, but here are a couple. There was a sick buggy up there with a 454 on pane and 1 tons and everything else you can think of. The trails up there are really gnarly and you need a tubed buggy or exocaged rig to not mess up your vehicle with the trees etc. I went on the outside loop that links all the trails together that is fairly easy, but very steep and definitely can feel the use of the locker!

Very steep!!!

i gave up on it for now as well. it's not only the seal, which i got, but i dry fitted it together and you'll need new bolts to mount the axle tube to the housing. the stock bolts (from the non-ADD) will bottom out in the holes of the 4.88 (ADD) diff before seating the flange.

Bob's is a up in the hills of Vacaville on a guy's private property. He's a great guy and lets anyone up there on Sundays. There's only a few little trails that a semi built truck can go on, most rigs are like that buggy, or exo'ed with dual transfercases locked front and rear, it's all super steep ravines climbin up the side of the mountains.

So I finally got my diff armor and got it welded on. I asked a question earlier about whether or not you should take out the third member....I was told by a couple people on pirate to leave it in because the clamping force from the studs holding the third in will prevent the axle housing from warping out of shape so easily. So I left it in and welded it on then changed the diff fluid to Royal Purple since the gears are done breaking in after a couple hundred miles. I also

I haven't had any troubles with mine at all yet. I've ran part of Fordyce once and Mix Challenge (mixchallenge.info) for the past 4 weekends straight and no problems, and it's been wheeled hard...I don't doubt the problem, but I don't think they'll break "easy" otherwise it'd be broken right now.
