89 Rear end jumping of some sort

Hey guys, i just have a small concern i was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction. Usually on hotter days but sometimes completely random the back end of the truck will start jumping and shaking on take off. I'm not sure if its the u joints because this never happened before i did the 3vze swap. Could it maybe be the transmission mounts, i never replaced them during the swap. Any input would be appreciated.

sounds like it could be the u joints. start there if you have a vice and can change them out your self its a cheap way to start your investigation even if you pay someome else it might be worth it.

It never happens in the winter or when it's been cooled down. Is there any way it could be tranny related or strictly differential?

I have the same problem, I checked my u joints but they're solid, my differential is full and oil is clean, no leaks, haven't checked the mounts yet though, me know if you figure yours out

I doubt it's your problem but I had a clutch go out on my 85 and as it was getting close it would hop a little on let out starting in first gear. No other gears just first starting and then intermittently. Just figured I would throw it out there. Good luck
