89 4Runner - Need Wiper Help

Hi everyone. I've got an 89 4Runner SR5, 5VZE, MT, that I've slowly been getting all the bugs worked out of since my engine swap.

I went to use the wipers yesterday and blew a fuse. I Replaced the 15a fuse and it blew again. I put 12v directly from the battery on the wiper motor and works normally at all speeds. I then checked for continuity from the 4 wires on the wiper motor to the wiper harness and all check out. I also checked to the fuse box for continuity / resistance to the 15a fuse. The fuse blows as soon as I move wiper stalk to "intermediate", but doesn't blow if I just use the mist function. I've checked all over for shorts but can't find anything. I was able to get the wipers to work for a few seconds, but then when I started the truck, the fuse blew again after I tried the wipers again.. Any ideas? Maybe there's something else that shares this circuit. Appreciate the help.

I got problem identified and fixed today. It ended up being a fried wire than ran from under the steering column to the stereo, around to the passenger front fender and behind the passengers seat. That was a full day plus of stripping burnt wire and running new wire. Short fixed; wipers function normally now.
