its alot easier to go with the 3.4 5VZ-FE its a direct swap but need some wiring done . 22re are great , but its not a direct fit you need to relocate engine mounts , bell housing will not bolt up to it .. etc

Do some research first!!

Please explain just why you would want to do this engine swap no less then 1000 words and please use references to support how you reached your decision.

What does it matter why? This is part of my research is asking advice from people who have already done it. If you don't have productive information than don't respond

You are asking the most basic of questions....that if any effort was put forth whatsoever to search...you would not be asking.

Tip #1 use google to search yotatech. in google search box....add "yotatech" to the search. for example. "3.0 to 22re swap yotatech"

Search. Learn. Enjoy.

Play nice.

Going from 3.0 to a 22r-e is backasswards.

It's like wiping before you poop.

The entire drivetrain will have to be replaced. Any "research" would have lead you to that.

But yes. You could do it. You'll need new motor mounts, different transmission, tcase.....ext.

A 3.4 WILL BOLT IN SWAP IN PLACE OF A 3.0. Just need some wiring.

3.4 swap will require less mechanical work (as noted above), be a newer engine, more power, etc. Seems like a no brainer if you're going to be doing an engine swap.

As said above please search. There is so much info on the 3.4 swap it makes it silly. Even the wiring part.

Start with the stickies in the 3.4 swap section. Then read build threads that have your similar vehicle.
