88' v6 too much fuel!!!
Ok heres my situation. I just dropped my 3vz in my truck a week ago, and got everything worked out and running right. I drove the truck everyday after work, all was well. Then i didnt start the truck up for a day. The next day i go to start it up, and its being a real pain to get started. I have to give it throttle to fire it up. once it is running it sounds like its not running on all cylinders. I look out the back and its blowing black smoke. pull the spark plugs and they are wet with fuel. Ive got spark to all plugs. I think the injectors are stuck open, but it is a very odd thing for the majority of them to do it at once, and especially since it was running fine a day earlier. i tested the resistance of the one injector i could reach and it was 2.6 ohms when they are supposed to be in between 1.2-2.2ohms. Im pulling the intake today and checking the rest of the injectors.

no clue why the truck would be fine for a week and then one day, half of the injectors are bad? could the computer be holding them open, or would they just be stuck open. Higher resistance means what? Less fuel would be my guess.

mass air meter is shot. it is getting stuck open, which makes the computer think lots of air is coming into the motor, thus delivering more fuel. gotta shop arround now.

my 22 RE has 700 miles and is from Jaspers. Doing simular stuff. How do you test the MAS, mine is different than yours but it might be the same problem. My plugs lasted 40 miles and are black as tar and the truck is smoking black, not grey(oil). Also I noticed the check engine light after I filled up gas from a metal jerry can, could be cloged fuel stuff making the comp send more fuel.

This sounds like what happened to me it doesn't want to start and it blowing black smoke and it won't accelerate however it revs up just fine in neutral. I just replaced the mass air flow like 2 3 years ago and I don think that is it is there anything else that could be causing it?
