I have a 88 pickup I am wanting to change the taillights but only thing I can find aftermarket that I like is for a 89 and up. Is there a way to make them work? Thanks for any help

 

No. You need taillights from an 84-88 pickup or an 84-89 4Runner. Ebay and I think Rock Auto possibly have them.







Here's the page from eBay. Not sure if you need the whole light or just the lens. They're not Chinese crap, either, they're made in Thailand!

I got mine from RockAuto, complete lens, fixture, wiring, even bulbs that went right in smoothly and look great. They even had a choice of chrome trim or black. Fit my 88 PU perfectly.

 

...Stealership sales only the lenses if thats what you want...Ah, and an O ring that goes between the lenses and the plastic base...and also some transparent plastic washers that goes at the lenses screws...
