Nice! I don't know that I've seen a 3.4 swap into a 1st gen 4Runner or 2nd gen pickup.

Engine Swap

Nice , any chance of routing your air pickup closer to some outside air ? Seems it would really pick up some hot air there , maybe build or buy a box for the filter and then re-route the pick-up feeding the box to the frt end somewhere , just a thought since Turbo/Supercharger tends to increase air supply temp on top of what your base pick up temp is , it would give you a bit more power if you could pick up cooler air , not that you need any extra horses hehe .

Maybe you could route the fresh air to behind the passenger side headlight , that is where my '91 with the Vane AFM on it is but of course it is on the drivers side , make a pickup to go on around the side of the headlight and then put filter in box and then tubing to the box .
Of course this is just my opinion but the air would be much much cooler

how much of a pain was it to use the 3.0 charcoal canister? I was going to attempt using the 3.4 canister but it looks like it may be a little tricky

Wow! That thing is sick!!! How much did the swap end up costing in the end?? Did you do it yourself?

Love the truck and I am interested in a cost breakdown as well. My 89 1st gen would love a 3.4 makeover.
