What about the flow meter?
If you're only getting .08v's at the diagnostic port, it's nothing to do with the airflow meter. You have a voltage leak/break somewhere between the battery and the diagnostic box.

What's the voltage readings at the fuse box on any of the fuse? You may have a loose connection or corrosion.???

Your fusible link, I do believe, will be the 80amp fuse in the fuse box. Test there for 12v's.

There's a link for a pic of the fusible link in that thread. And now I know, too. I've seen that sucker millions of times, but didn't know that's what is was.

You never said if you are getting 12v to the ciruit opening relay its the black 14 gauge wire not the small black. This should be hot when key is on. It comes from the ecm.

I never checked the wire to the circuit opening relay. I'll do that next.

What is the relay in the fuse box under the hood called?

Power going to my fuses is good.

no I am not getting 12Vs to the ciruit opening relay.
Looking at the pics of the relay ciruit; I think it is the +B wire.
By looking at the ciruit pics I think the next relay is the EFI main relay.
Is the EFI relay the relay under the hood or at the fuse panel at drivers kick panel? My Hanyes book says for up to 88 the 1 behind kick panel and for after 89 under the hood. I have relays in both places.

The map on top of the fuse box under the hood is wore off so I don't know what the relay in the fuse box is called.

That's the EFI main relay. There's a 10 amp fuse nearby....should be right next to/before it...that is the EFI fuse. You should be getting 12v to that fuse. If not, you're not getting 12v to anything beyond it; the main relay, COR, etc.

You said, though, the fuse tested good. Did you just test for continuity or for voltage, too?

I checked the fuses for continuity and voltage and they where fine.

My book shows a different pin layout for the EFI relay so un sure when testing. I looked at the manual on line from the link but could not find the right test. I'll look again.

The EFI relay has 4 pins and I have continuity between 2 pins so I'm sure it is fine.
What about the ECU?

So, your relay is not similar at all to this, eh?
http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...95efimainr.pdf

The ECM.....well, if I had any knowledge of how your is designed or had something to look at I could tell you more. Suffice it to say if you knew which terminal on your ECM was for the fuel pump circuit, you could certainly test it. Let me ask Pete f to look at your thread. He has an '89 and may have a manual for it or know which is which.

the COR is under the pass side kick panel.
The solid blue wire is a strait run from the relay to the fuel pump.
I bet you have a break in there some where
good luck

He's not even getting enough voltage to the COR.....which he's already located.

One test I did when trouble shooting my recent problem that can rule out a bad efi relay is with the key off I pulled the relay. Then I turned the key on and when put it back in I could feel and hear it energize the efi system in the engine. I would also check for a short or broken wire with my multi-tester at the battery.

I used the continuity and resistance test on be-4 this test will rule out a short or broken wire in the system.
Good luck!

I have checked the wires at the battery. I dropped the main fuse(80amp) and tested the wires on both sides. All where Ok.

My EFI relay is 12 volts 22amp round fuse there is an 80 amp fuse in the fuse box passenger side engine compartment but that is for the alternator. Which one did you test? Did you test your EFI round fuse?

I have not tested any round fuses. Where is the 22amp EFI fuse? Maybe that is the one I have been missing.

This is your EFI relay. It is located passenger front wheel well in the engine compartment. When I was trouble shooting my problem I pulled it with the key off then I turned the key on and put it back when I did that I could hear and feel the relay work. I could hear the efi system energize.
