87 yotie shifter plate

hey guys, are all toyotas suppose to have a metal plate that goes around the shifters? or is it suppose to be open and just have the boot go around it? im thinking about building one, while i repair the meth holes in the floor board lmfao

Just a metal plate with two big holes for the shifter boot to fit.
I think there's 4-6 phillips screws holding it down.
There's like 3 or 4 shifter boots though.
No shifter gate.

Why? Don't have one?

I ran my truck without any boots or shifter plate for a day. Kinda loud, hot and windy, but driveable.

Pick and Pull or junkyards are your friend for items like this.
