Thanks to everyone’s help, I finally solved this. It is a bad Dimmer (Rheostat). I bypassed it (See pic below) and everything works like normal.

Does Toyota carry dimmer switches anymore? Anyone know how I can get a replacement?

hey! i know i'm digging up an old thread, but that's what great about the interwebs. you fixed this issue in 2017 and i'm having it now. Your bypass worked great! i was concerned about guessing what wires needed jumped but your picture showed me exactly what i needed to do.

Now i need to try and find that elusive 4 wire rheostat.

Sweet, so glad it was helpful! I wouldn’t have a clue what I did without the tread this many years later. Glad I documented it, for both of us 😂!

is the fix still working for you and did you ever find another correct RHEOSTAT?
