Question 87 2WD A43D OverDrive Solenoid Location

dug through the links on here, found the link to the FSM for 93s

also found information on testing the relay. There's no pin in the relay for the temp sensor but other than that it tested fine, leading me to beleive that the OD solenoid needs replacing.

Finally arrived yesterday, itching to see if this is actually the problem. never done this before so I was looking for advice, any tidbits of info that I might need to not screw this up, etc. (and the location of it - I think it's on the side of the tranny drivers side)

I don't know a thing about working on trannies, though I learned that the solenoids generally work together to choose the gear you're in. from what I've read, there's only the OD solenoid on this tranny and instalation looks simple enough - 2 bolts and a single plug, but I'd rather be extra sure.

INFORM ME!
