truck was sitting bout a year,put new filter,gas.will run if gas put in top of carb,otherwise not.old mech pump squirts randomly,no gas in glass.new pump,no gas from pump or in glass.blew air back through line hear bubbling back intank,stop and gas comes back out of line due to pressure.hook line back up turn eng over still no gas in glass or from pump.iam lost...possible way to bypass mech pump..any help is needed an highly appreaciated.

 

Sounds like you have a blockage in the suction line.

Could also be crushed or rusted.

return line hooked up??

You don`t have them switched that your trying to draw through the return line ??

How much fuel is in the tank??

Perhaps the lines rusted off in the tank!!

It is possible to run a electric pump and new lines making sure you get the correct fuel pressure for the carbed engine.

Just as easy to correct the problem.
