i found a power steering box off a 86 4-runner and want to use it to replace my leaky 91 truck box. the sector shaft is the same but according to trail-gear they sell two different boxes one for a 86-88 pickup and the other style box fits 88-95 pick-up and 90-95 4-runner. before i take my box off my truck does anyone know for any reason why the 86 4-runner box wouldnt fit my 91 truck? only difference i can think of would be the smaller shaft that bolts to the steering colum shaft. Thanks in advance

 

With 2WD, the '86-'88 and '89-95 boxes have different mounts to the frame. They look very similar on the bench, but will not interchange. I would assume the 4WD boxes have the same characteristic.
