Exclamation 86 fuel leak help

Hello, I have an 86 4x4, 22r truck that i just bought and it has been giving me trouble with the fuel leaking out of the charcoal canister( the upper one). I have replaced it, bought a vented gas cap and it still leaks. I have ran out of ideas and would really appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks.

find the vacuum hose diagram for the truck and check that the purge line is connected properly

It actually runs pretty good, just leaks gas. I will check the vacuum diagrams in my chiltons, hopefully i can narrow down the problem...
