I would say with the solid axle swap its worth the price, the only problem would be not having a tittle.

yeah, I guess you would have to file for a lost title. If I had some extra money I would offer the guy $800 and hold on to it until I could fix it up or do it slowly.

Its not solid axle swapped, its an 85 so the SA came stock. Sounds like he just made a big deal about it cuz thats one of the most appealing things on the older toyotas these days.

Yeah I know it came stock I was just agreeing about it being worth $1000, I see some people put sas about the 84 and 85 4runners and trucks, but I guess that could mean solid axle stock too, but yeah thats not what he said!

Nice thing is if I bought it out here in VT all I would need is a bill of sale.
After vehicles are 14 years or older they don't require titles.
Shoot if I had the cash I would fix it out there and drive it back.

I'd low ball the snot out of him, you may put a new/used motor in to find out the tranny is shot too. I'm not from this part of the country so I'd investigate the title/licensing requirements for Or. I've had people straight up lie to me about the requirements to try and sell me a vehicle, so find out before hand. Beware this could become a money pit, so if you got the money and time go for it. It could just as likely be an easy engine swap and boom your in business. You decide
