$80 For Mud Flaps!!!!?!?!?!

Hey everyone whats up. I have a 95 Toyota 4runner and i wanted some front mud flaps to save my paint and go with the truck. I kinda wanted the stock ones because they would match better. So i went to the Toyota dealer and they looked them up and and they are $80 A PIECE!!!!!!! I was WTF 1000 times. I mean i could understand that as a set but not a piece. I tried ebay and they don't have any. I would really like to get the stock ones back. Does anyone have any tips or ideas? Or at least ones close to them. -Thanks

Look in a Junk Yard. Go to an auto parts store and get them to order you a set. I'm sure they make them.

Just keep an eye on craigslist, or make your own.

Possibly try any toyota salvage yards.

You could contact dirtoyboy (a member here), he might be able to help you out. He's gotten parts for me at a fair price.

You have a phone, call the yards before you even go. Most yards will order the item for you to if you come and pay them first.

A while ago, my Dad use to always get pulled over for his tires stickin out too far. And his paint was chippin anyways. So he just made some out of diamondplate. they looked really good.
Just cut it, and bend it, screw it, and your done. They can be as big/small as you want, and look however you want.

Its cheap, and looks really good.
-just a suggestion

Nope, the 4runner front mud flaps are molded with a metal frame, just like the rear. However, the flapes from a truck will work.

I just tossed mine in the garbage Saturday but the can is still out front....

One is perfect but the other I had to do a Frankenstein repair on but it looks great and works great. I'll dig them out of the trash can and take a few pics then if you want them you can make me an offer (and I'm obviously not looking for much). They will never fit on my truck again with the 36's...

I usually keep everything I take off the truck but I was cleaning the garage and looked at them and thought about how I'd never be able to use them again and just tossed them in.

Man,that is pricey considering people think $80 is alot for a PAIR of 3rd gen front flaps;here's a little cheaper price on the 2nd gen flaps but still a pricey $63/each.

I have a nice front set I pulled off my '93 pickup....I believe I still have the hardware also.
I figure $10 should cover the packaging and shipping.....send me that and they're yours.
PM me if you want them.....they are just sitting here.....NEVER going back on.

If you contact dirtoyboy as I suggested you won't have to run around & look in 30 junkyards; in fact it can all be handled from your P/C except payment. He ships fast & has fair prices & it'll be all Toyota parts.

I'd like to see a pic of what $80 buys since isn't the flap similar to what is on the 3rd gens?

Dirtoyboy huh? How would i go about talking to this guy. These mud flaps are a rare part cause not a whole lot of 4runner made them like that. Most 4runner came with running boards not flaps at the front. So uh yea.
