7mge air flow meter lest see if the slow 6 can take it

well i am sick and tired of this ty power plant and as of right now i don't have the money to do the lex swap

well i gonna try the 7mge afm but i got wide band in my car and i am going to see how much it affects the truck aka how lean will it go

other stuff that i am going to do

apexi neo ( fuel computer to fix the fuel map 7mge if there is an issue )
e fan

so wide band is installed time to see how this sucker likes fuel

oh yae tested the 7mge afm and it will work with no issues has the same scale ramp as the stock afm

stay tuned

the 5mge afm should work too and it already comes with a cone adaptor on the filter side. and it is the same size as the 7mge one.

no sorry the 5m one is smaller then the 7mge

well did a nice test run ideal perfect roughly about 14.7 to 14.9 withc is good

now for the best part after 3000 ish rpm you get in the rang of 15 then sweeps to 12 and at max 11 in na car umm this can be fixed

aka she can be cleaned up alot

now i gonna try to swap in the 7mge and see what happens to my ratio's

stay tuned

well i got good news it works with little toying around

first it's not really plug and play

the fuel ramp is just like stock

if you do direct swap it will be stupid lean and wont ideal very well like 18 ish

so i poped the cap off enriched it by like 6 teeth and bango she is roughly dead on 14.8 to 14.7

so more fuel and more air make power i have yet to drive it on the street but i will in a bit lets you know what happens

Yes i know this is an old thread. I just performed this swap on my 94 3vze ext cab. The short answer to your question suprathepeg is YES. I drilled out the air idle bypass screw, set the cog 6 teeth rich and built an ISR which took the longest time. i plugged in the afm and started the truck. it stumbled a lot at first but i adjusted the air idle bypass screw IN and it ran great. i re-timed the truck played with the idle to get it to be correct. i quick test drive confirmed that this a very good mod for any 3vze owner looker for power. By the time i finished playing with the idle control and timing i had the throttle body idle screw most of the way out as well as the afm idle screw most of the way out. the timing on my truck is set at 15*. As a side note i also have the the supra coil installed and 8 mm wires. As Nashman00 said..THIS IS A MUST DO MOD!! my 3vze is now a hot rod

thanks to Nashman for the write up
