Is 500$ for 4.88 axle and Diff to much?
Well I finally got around to calling a couple junk yards today and only one had a v6 auto. They said 500 for both. The whole rear end. I figured that would be an easier swap than the third. Plus then I got another axle for a buggy or something. Or I could sell it. Well so you guys think 500$ for both is too much? What would you pay. They will have them laying there to.
thanks

A rear axle 'round here sells for $100-$150.
A V6 3rd, might pay $100 for.
Consider the cost of buying the gears and having them setup, which will probably run you $300...

I got a new third for a v6 for $100. The yards wanted 375-575 for a whole one with the third.
I'll sell you my V6 4.88 third if you want let me know ASAP,(tonight) and I can get it put back together. I also got a set of 4.56 gears.
