My 86 sas 4runner has 4" lift blocks under the rear and longer shackles. I want to get rid of the blox, I found a set of 63 chevies (3leaf with no overload) what do i need to obtain 5 inches of total lift ?
Iirc the chevies are good for about 3"s of lift?
the rear sits about an inch lower then the front so 5"s should straighten her out

I think the shackles are 4" length. so would those plus the chevies be the hight I am looking for?

why offset shackles ? pardon my lack of knowledge in the leafspring area its somewhat new to me.

Offset is bolt hole to bolt hole length. Stock is 3.5 anything over that you subtract and divide by 2 to get approx lift for longer shackle.

5.5-3.5=2/2=1" of lift for 5.5 shackle

Chevy springs are flexy but saggy too. You are just going to have to play with shackle lengths to get it right depending on what lift you get from the springs.

I have been reading about the zuk mod latley and it seams like a cool option to the worn stock spring issue but what about lift?
It seams that either mod will net about 2.5-3.5" of lift (with out shackels)?
what about flex? what are lift limits? what is your setup ?
I have 4" blocks and 5" shackels and want to get
