4WD trouble

Having trouble with my 88's 4wd. The transfer case is locking and the hubs are locking to the axles, but the front diff locks in and out. Any help will be helpful.

Be more specific. Are you saying that your 4wd isn't working?

I got it to lock in and everything was working good them it just automatically stopped after a little use. I think that I may have an issue with the diff.

Lock it in, throw it in reverse and nail the gas. If your back tires spin and you don't move, then you can be sure the 4wd is not working. Start at the hubs. Usually, if you have something in the diff that fails, thus losing 4wd, then it will be accompanied by alot of noise (grinding, banging, popping). It won't just quietly stop working.
