4runner won't start

I have a 1995 V6 4x4 4runner. I went out to go start it this morning and it won't run. The battery and starter are fine and the engine actually turns over. However, as soon as it turns over, the engine just sort of coughs and dies. It sounds like it's not getting any gas. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or might know where I should start looking for problems. I had a few ideas, but seeing as how this is a forum for Yota discussion, I thought I'd see what the "experts" say. Thank you so much for any help or suggestions.

Im not an expert or nothing and you might have already checked this, but is there anyway that there could be a leak to your air intake? Sorry if im getting the wrong name here, but if you have a leak, then your engine cant get a good vaccum and this would cause it to turn over and die. Dont know if that helps or not.

since you've confirmed that there's spark, check your air or fuel system. you may have a vacuum leak, fried MAF, bad fuel pump, etc. can you pull any codes from the runner?

Were are you from???
What was the temp? was it colder than usual?
Was this issue all of a sudden?
3.0 or 3.4 95 was a switch year for our rigs...

The reason i ask "temp", is becasue if it was colder than usual try cleaning your intake manifold (completly!) take it all off!!!

A dirty intake decreases flow, your computer compensates for it, but the combo of being realy dirty and very cold overwhelms what the computer can compensate for (basically)... Its a common thing when winter hits! good luck...
