whats up guys, I have a project I am about to get started on and just curious if someone else had dealt with this already. Ive got a 1995 2wd 4runner with a bad v6 (shocking right?) but mint leather interior and clean rust/dent free exterior. I also have a rolled over (hard roll, body is trash) 1990 4runner with a 22re, which runs great. My intentions are to swap the clean 95 body onto the 90 chassis. Obviously i will be swapping over the wiring harness from the 22re 90 into the 95, but the problem i have is the 90 does not have power windows or locks and the 95 does. I am wondering what kind of nightmare im setting myself up for tryin to get that stuff to work. Anyone dealt with this before? Ive tried searching but no luck.

 

well since im the first one to do this kind of thing i guess i will just dive right in and ill let you all know how it goes

 

for anyone else searching out this information. it wont work. nothing matches up and unless you have access to and can read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics and have the ability to rewire etc, i would not recommend anyone attempt this swap. i had to abandon the project. bummer. is what it is.
