Does anyone know if a 1UZ-FE engine from a 98-00 ls400 would work in a 95 4Runner? I'm looking at buying a Japan one. I can figure out mounts if the engine will fit. Also need to know if electrical will be compatible. Thanks

That swap is pretty popular, search around to see how other people swapped it in. It is not a direct swap, meaning it's not bolt in.

I've searched, can't find anything on it though. I can make mounting brackets as long as it fits. Do you know if the wiring will be a direct or close fit?

You have searched 1uz swap and found nothing? No the wiring is no where close to a "direct fit".

There is plenty on 1uz swap, but they all are using an older 1uz. From like 1991 or so. I'm asking if a newer 1uz would work, from 1998-2000?

A 1uz should be a 1uz. The newer ones might have more electronics and wiring wise. Why one from that particular year range?
