I have a 1990 4runner 3 point slow, w a million miles on it. I have never had a problem w the 4 wheel drive. I replaced my clutch, bearings, and rear main seal. Now everything functions properly but the 4 wheel drive isn't engaging. I didn't remove the transmission I just slid it back enough to get the work done. Went back together smoothly but now my 4wheel drive won't engage the front wheels. My 4x4 idiot has never worked so I can't use that as a reference as to whether it's engaged or not. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated! 👍🏻
