4-Runner cranks won't start after battery backwards
Sold my 4-Runner. Guy bought a new battery (backwards terminals) and ended up hooking battery up backwards. It blew the 80 amp fuse and a couple of other fuses. All those are fixed now. 4-Runner cranks but won't start. It has never had a problem starting. Think we can smell gas. Are there other wires that could have melted? Not sure where to start checking. Have not done the fuel pump test and have not checked for spark. Thanks in advance.

check to see if any fusible links are blown (they look like wire going from the battery to the fuse block) test for power with a meter or a test light and see what has power and what doesn't.
Also, it might help if you mentioned what year and what motor/trans you are talking about. Somebody might be able to help with a wiring diagram, but all we know right now is its a 4runner.
