This isn't a question or a how to, I just need to say f the guys at toyota for making changing out the starter suck a pain in the ass. That is all.

 

I guess I do have a question. How do I get the starter back in? I don't even know how I got it out. When I try to get it in it hits the motor mount and upper control arm.

 

Did you remowe the 4 bolts that hold the access pennel in the fender well? Makes the job a lot easier. Got the starter outa my sister's truck without taking it off, then kicked myself for not seeing the pannel and it went in a lot easier.
Not EASY mind you, but I've seen worse.

 

That was the first thing I took off but it didn't matter because it won't even fit through the opening. So far just to get it out I've had to unbolt the clutch slave and unbolt the idle control arm.
