3vze runs terrible under load

hey everyone ive got a 88 pickup, xtra cab, 4x4 and the thing recently started running like .

it starts up fine. idles fine. but when i let out my clutch to start moving it sounds as if it begins to misfire until i get to about 3 thousand rpms then it runs fine. if i just try to give it more gas it makes a pop noise. last year i replaced the spark plugs. wires. distributor so what do you guys think? thank you guys for taking your time.

id do a process of elimination and disconnect 1 wire from the cap at a time and see if there is a running difference when you rev it up (actually does it rev up fine with out a load?). if it runs "crappier" then it did before when you disconnected the wire then chanses are that wire or spark plug is good....BUT if it runs the same while you have a wire disconnected then thats your bad wire or spark plug. mine did the same thing and it ended up being a cracked spark plug that made it misfire backfire and have no power

hmmm well id do a self diaognastics test on it. to do that let the truck warm up to normal operating temp then turn off but leave the ignition on. pop the hood and rite next to the fuse box there will be a diaognastics plug...you have to jump e1 and te1 and then go inside the truck and your check engine light should be blinking. How ever many blinks is your code number....sample....if you have a code 21 is will blink twice and pause for a second and then blink once and then it will pauce for about 5 seconds and start over and if you have more then one code it will be folled by the 5 second pause

well when you pulled 3 and it didnt run any different that might be your problem there.... follow the wire to the spark plug it goes to and pull the spark plug and inspect it

Get a manual, or somebody post picks of where the jumper goes. If you buy a manual its in there in detail, and it gives the code description..
