im rebuilding a 91 4runner 3vze on a budget. i have spent less then 950 including the knock sensor and wire. im getting ready to put the injectors back and noticed that 4 out of the 6 gromets have the seals at the bottom. i was wondering is there a way to rebuild the injectors within a hardware store so i could buy bluk washers and rubber gaskets. and also if anyone has made their own egr block-off kits. if so what and how thick was the matieral you used.

There are a couple sellers on eBay offering rebuilt injectors with upgraded, multi orifice, nozzles for $80 for the set of six. I don't know anything more about it than that. If they work as advertised, it might be good insurance.

I can't believe this, but I am also seeing sets of six supposedly brand-new injectors for around $50 with free shipping. No details though as to who manufactured them.

There are also sellers selling rebuild kits, for as little as $16, that contain all the O-rings, seals. pintle caps, and strainers that you need to rebuild your six injectors. I am getting ready to do a light overhaul on a 3vze. The engine I'm working with supposedly has 170,000 miles and has sat for five years. I am going to give the rebuilt/upgraded injectors a try.

the rebuild kit for the injectors aint that big of deal i just dont want to have to order off line and then wait is all. its been down for far to long as is coming along very s lowly just wanted to speed it up. no point in rebuilding it if im going to do it half A@@
