3VZE Does the Coil have a Ballast Resistor?

Just wondering. Have gone through 2 coils in the last 2 years.

Does it have a Ballast Resistor?

Or is it that everyone on this board is to young to remember ballast resisters.

No they have ignitors. If that shorts out it can take out a coil. I remember I had to put a ballast in my 76 Plymouth Fury!

Thanks James.

Any idea what the resistor is for that is clamped under one of the legs of the ignitor? Could it be for the radio?
