3rd member removal help

I have everything off....axles, drive shaft, all bolts around 3rd.....seems like it should come loose with some wacks of a BFH....no go...tried to pry with a big screw drivers...doesn't budge....tried a few wacks with a chisel....nothing.

should I just keep trying with the chisel?

darn ET...wish I had read ur post earlier....I basically wacked it a BFH and wiggled it out.

On initial inspection, the ring looked good...then I put a light down into the pinion and it was missing a few teeth...ugh.
