3.0 power gone and transmission shifting rough...
Had the full flush of the diffs, trans, and transfer case done at the local dealership when they did a TSB fix last week. Truck occasionally shifted hard into 4th gear, but now its had pretty much all the power tapped out, and shifting rough almost all the time.
Suggestions? Xfer case isn't making any odd noises, nor is the transmission. I'm wondering if they fubared something while in the shop.
Also, I'm getting about 200 miles to a tank of gas. Normal for these weezers, right?

I say bring it back to the dealer and tell them how it shifted before, and how it does now. They do guarantee their work, and they will at least check it out for free. If you can, have a tech test-drive it with you along.
200 miles a tank? That is like 11 mpg. Is it an auto? Even if it is, you should be getting a bit better than that.

Yah, thats what Im doing tomorrow. I'm not happy that prior to the fluid flush it was smooth and accelerating well. Now its just piss-poor. I don't expect tons of power out of an auto 3.0, but 11mpg is bad.

wow 11mpg?! Holy crap!! Redlining it at every light until im up to 60 still nets me about 14mpg in around town driving! Replace the O2 sensor, betcha its on its way out.
As far as the tranny shifting hard, def have the dealership correct that...

It is possible to overlook things when there are a few people working ou your rig. Each person thinks the other did part of the job, and it does not get done. I had a friend who brought his car in to get an oil change, and they never filled it back up. Sent him home dry. They ended up buying him a new motor. Maybe something in yours was overlooked also?

Well, thats what I was thinking, but given my shoulder being busted up, I can't crawl underneath, etc to double check. Honestly, I woulda flushed everything myself at my buddy's house, but it was worth the effort for them to do it. And considering I can't physically do it.
I did hit it with a can of Seafoam today, and dropped a K&N into the stock box, so we'll see if I get any better performance from it.
Also, trans got stuck in 3rd gear on the highway. had to slow to below 55mph to get it to upshift. I don't like this.

Well.... my tank is probably close to 16 gallons total, 16 gallons*11mpg is still just 176 miles. Better make that 12.5 mpg which is still pretty bad. I got close to 17 mpg on mostly city streets on my last filling.

After the seafoam, the truck seems to be running a little smoother, and idling at 500 rpm (accdng to the tach which could be wrong). IIRC stock idle is 800 rpm?
