37's with 22RE, 5spd and stock 4.10 gearing?

Hey guys, I tried doing some searching but didn't find much info. I found a crazy deal on 37x12.5 Super Swampers that is too good to pass up. I'm wondering if I can get by just for the time being until I do gears. I currently have 33's and it's not bad at all, but 37's are definitely a big step up.

Any advice/experience would be greatly apprecated!

It is always possible. But will it be a daily driver? If so, it will be a gutless vehicle on the road. What engine trans do you have? That really will not make difference either. You will probably never get it in high gear unless you are on a really straight or downhill road.
Super swampers are great tires in the mud, but they are heavy too.
Hope this helps. You will have to re-gear for sure if you want to keep that size tire and be able to drive it.

if you dont like going faster than about 45... and dont have any hills, you MIGHT get away with it.

my guess is 4th gear is only useable down hill, you can forget about 5th.

if you know someone with some 37's bolt them on and have a go before you drop the $$.

I say buy them. If you don't like it and decide you don't want to regear then you can sell them. If it's that good of a deal you can probably sell them for more than you paid and make some money. Then you can go buy something else for your truck.

What is keeping you from buying them and storing them till you put 5.29's in?
Nothing says you have to put them on right away..

I've been running that setup for 2 years no if you dd it's fine don't expect a ton of power I don't get out of 4th that often but you can still do 65 down the freeway no problems pulling big hills you'll be rolling at about 45mph buts its very tolerable to me and I still manage between 17-19mpg I'm actually setting up my 5.29's right now they Hoyle be in this weekend it will be much better so its up to you and what kind of driving you do and swamper are actually one of the lighter off road tires.

Anyone running 37s with little lift and IFS? I understand the strength restriction with IFS but I have also heard the tires sit further back in the wheel wells making big tires hard to fit without a huge lift. Is this true? I'm running about a 4" lift in the rear and 3" in front. I'm definitely willing to go crazy with the cutting wheel.

I don't see how it's going to be a pleasant experience.

Hell, 31s and 4.10s is awful.

It won't be fun but a lot of folks do it. I ran 35's and 4.10s and it was fine so long as I didn't have to stop on a hill, that usually involved low range to save the clutch. I would never put 37's on an IFS front end, I broke mine pretty easily with 35's and a heavy foot. Dropped to 33's when i wore the 35's out and both me and the truck are much happier.

Well I thought it through and passed on the 37s. While they would have looked badass, it would've been a lot of work to get them to fit with my small lift.

Instead, I got a killer deal on a set of 35x15.5s and am loving them! I posted some pics here if anyone's interested https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...inside-262915/

˟˟˟˟ I ran 32's and 4.10's and was plenty of power especially for a 100 hp motor but I mean maybe people expect alot more spunk I'm completely happy tho.

37's with an IFS front end is a nightmare and a mess waiting to happen, I run 4.88's with 285/75R16's. Which is the equivalent to 33x11.50's and it does fine. With 37's I would want the SAS swap and some 5.29 gears under it. Just my .02 cents
