2' bal joint spacers?? Dang!!

you also need to take into account the added stress of running taller tires in going to place on your drivetrain. YOu are gonna suffer some huge power loss unless you regear to 5.29 or 5.71.

Check your gearing - the tag on the door jamb. I would have to say 4.10's unless it's originally a 31" tire truck. Also, as is your 33's are hard on the auto, especially without an aux cooler. Without re-gearing (unless 4.88's - really needs 5.29 or 5.71) it'll eat that tranny and be a dog! Plus there is that fitament issue, and if they are Baja Claws they aren't the best for muddy terrain. They don't clear well.
Go for a locker, you'll be better off in the long run.
Take it for what it's worth!

You are going to kill your trans. If it was a manual you would be okay but the auto will B%tch slap you.

I'm actually running 60 psi in the tires

Jk. The motor has great compression and runs like new, I just rebuilt the head and it's a newer short block. Probly the most powerful stock 22r out there

Hmm sounds like you'd be fine with 31" MTs, or 33x10.5 if you see deeper snow. After one day of wheeling my 31x10.5s with BJ spacers (set to 0 lift), my steering is noticeably looser. With 33x12.5" tires, I'm pretty sure I would have cooked that idler arm good. With 35x12.5s, not only would your steering be cooked by the end of the day, but there's a decent risk of snapping an axle shaft, which you wouldn't be able to afford because with stock gearing, you would have spent all your money on gas.

with a 31" tire, your circumference is approximately 97.375 inches
with a 33" tire, your circumference is approximately 103.625 inches
with a 35" tire, your circumference is approximately 110 inches

No wonder you don't feel much of a difference between the 31's and 33's: theres only like a 6.25" difference in circumference... but going from the 33 to the 35 there's a jump of 6.5" more inches.

Do you think you'd feel a 12" jump in circumference?

edit- sorry for all the edits. damn calculator....

I don't think I'll be buying them.. After reading everything I think they'd do more bad for my truck then good. As soon as the snow is gone I'll put my 33" x 12.5" back on and enjoy those. It does have an impressive stance with the 33's and goes thru the trails pretty good. I will be sometime soon buying new 33's though as mine are just starting to weather crack between the lugs, not good! With the 33's I have no problem keeping 70-75 mph at 2500-2800 rpm on the highway, I didn't think 2" inches more of tire would be that much of a difference as I don't see any difference between the 31's and 33's on the highway presently.
Thanks for the ifo guys/gals, as always much appreciated.

Do they actually measure 35" tall? I mocked up a set of 35 bfg's on my truck once, and they measured 33" with a measuring tape. Looked awesome. My 33" bfgs measure to 31", and my buddies 31" toyo's measure 29".

I'd get them if I were you. If you have problems, you could always sell them, or accommodate with some gearing to make them turn easier, or just throw your smaller tires on.

I have 35x12.5's on my 90 4runner and before I regeared to 5.29's the 4.10's had to work real hard to keep speed plus the fuel mileage was shi* and that's with a 5 speed.

After regearing no problems but I also have 3.75 backspacing on my rims , and a 4" suspension lift only had a small clearance issue but after pinch weld trimming it was no real problem.

The biggest thing I can tell you is REGEAR and PINCH WELD TRIMMING will be needed as well as BACK SPACEING on your rims.

Here's what you can expect to see for the eye candy aspect depending on your lift and I believe you will need more front lift if not both front and rear for sure to clear them.

I call BS, I bought my Aussie Locker for 250$ and its the best investment I've EVER made towards my truck, I go places with IFS and 33's that guys with SFA's, Mega Travel, and 35" Swampers go... Not to mention I put it in by myself, in my driveway, in the pouring rain, in a few hours, with a ten dollar bottle of gear oil, and a chiltons manual... Easy...

I ran 36x13.50 IROK's my last wheeling trip and I got four feet of air or so half a dozen times and took some really hard hits with my truck, bouncing all over rock ledges, foot to the floor, slamming gears and mashing the gas the whole day and I haven't broke anything wheelin on 33x12.5's in a year, and I wheel like crap.

olharleyman, one day my IFS PU will grow up and be tall like yours THAT truck looks good with 35's, it fits them perfect

personally what I would have done woodendude, was buy those tires for cheap, then craigslist them for double the price, and bought a locker

but yeah if that's 32's in that picture, you would have had some MAJOR clearance issues with 35's

Yeah there's no way I would have gotten the 35"s on there, I had 33"s with stock suspension earlier and suffered some rub at full turn and when partially stuffed. I considered buying and reselling but honestly I didn't want the hassle.
