Unhappy 34 ADM troubles PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm running a 34 ADM carb (electric choke, I believe) on my 1991 22R and I'm having some troubles.

The engine will not hold idle at all, and is also spitting oil out through the front valve cover ''breather''.

I'm no expert and I do realise there could be a number of things that could cause these things to happen.

I bought the car with the 34 ADM already installed, It has been to a carby specialist and was fine for a couple weeks until it just went back to not holding idle again.

I'm just looking for some help too see weather I have everything plumbed up correctly, I shall post photos below in hope that somebody can spot where the issue may be coming from. (Apologise for the quality of the photos)

I will label the photos with letters A, B, C etc. to make it easier to respond to the corresponding photo.

I would GREATLY appreciate any help you guys can provide as I'm tired of having too keep my foot on the throttle every time I'm stationary! haha

Cheers!

How many miles on the engine ??

Tune up parts are all up to speed as in New

Been years since I had a 22R I had a poor idle just from tired spark plugs

How many miles did it work like should ??

Did you feel the need to readjust something .

You have made sure your electric choke is working like it should ?

Wyoming9 the engine has done 350***km's so pretty tired you could say

I replaced the sparkplugs when I bought it about a year and a half ago so they should still be okay I think,

It only took a couple weeks of driving and I was back where I started with the idle issue,

You could be onto something with the choke because just yesterday I pulled of the primary idle jet in photo D. and for some strange reason I turned it on and it idled just fine,

I don't think my choke is working properly, the plug on the choke itself is pretty nackerd, I can wiggle it with my fingers, Is there anyway too check if it is working properly??

L5wolvesf Appreciate the link mate its gonna help me out a lot.

No problem.

Re: choke working properly? The pics are kinda foggy on my end what type of choke (water or electric) is it?

Have you checked to see if any other jets or other parts are loose. It kinda sounds like a rebuilt might be in order. Is there dirt or stuff in the float bowl?
