Where's the love for those w/ 32s? But in all seriousness, have you considered a 32x11.5 tire? They fit w/o a lift, with some mild pinch weld hammering. Just throwing that out there...

 

Hadn't even thought of 32s actually - 33s don't need a lift either though. I just figured I'd conform and do what all the cool kids are doing!

 

33x10.5 don't need a lift but 33x12.5 does or at least some serious hammering and trimming. It doesn't matter if you go to 33x10.5 or 32x11.5 because your choices are limited either way. It seems that most manufacturers go from 31x10.5 straight to 33x12.5. Those in between just aren't that common. And it is always the best tires that don't come in the size you want Even a lot of the common sizes are kinda fading away because of the new trends with larger rim sizes and whatnot.

 

Agreed! I don't want the 12.5" treads anyway, 33x10.5 sounds perfect to me. This truck is going to be used in snow a fair amount anyway so I don't need wider treads. Just more surface area to loose traction with.

Yes, most people would prefer the 10.5" wide because they fit stock and weigh less etc. However, you're pretty much limiting what brand tire you can run If looking for that size (BFGs) and THAT i dont like. After fitting my truck with 33x12.5s I can swap to any other 33 in the future and never have to worry about making them fit again.

33x12.5s on about 1-2" of lift - it DID take some pounding and cutting:

 

You can get Toyo MTs in 33x10.50R15. My local Schwab's has them in stock.

No, definitely not! They make great tires! The problem that I have with them is that they are kind of expensive and everyone has them. That's why I chose a different brand. Just to be different from everyone else

My next tires will be bfg a/t everyone i know has gotn 60,000 plus miles outa theres and my uncle has a set that are bout dry rotted with prob a hundred thousand (he grandpas it lol) but id rather spend a lil more for the quality of bfg

 

I know there are varied opinions on Toyo MTs, but I have 50k on mine and they're still at 35-40%. For a DD/WW rig, they are a pretty good tire. Next up is a set of 35x12.50 KM2s...we'll see how they compare. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with the KM2s or the Toyos.

 

They last a long time... but BFG A/Ts flat out suck in the mud.

 

Depends on how deep of mud you're talking about. If you're talking about a couple inches then they're ok, but if you better forget about it if you want to go through deep sloppy mud with the BFG A/T, or any A/T for that matter. If you want to go though mud, buy mud terrains.

 

What bumper (push bar) is that? I need one so I can put my winch on my yota...

 

before i got rid of all the chrome crap. and painted it flatback stock 4.10's with a built 22re. has more power than my 89 ever how the paint actually looked. i never really finished the hood.
