300ZX brake lines for SAS?
I shot from the hip, and now I'm worried that it'll cost me.
Following info on p4x4's Toyota FAQ, I ordered 3 Nissan 300ZX front brake lines, hoping to use them as longer brake lines for the SAS conversion on my '86 4Runner.
They are indeed longer but they're female on both ends, and it looks like the 'yota needs one male and one female end.
Has anybody out there actually tried using 300ZX front brake lines when lifting or doing SAS to a 1st gen 4Runner? I can still return these for a few days if they're not gonna work.

NCSU-4Runner: Thank you for pointing out the obvious. I know many aftermarket suppliers would be happy to sell me extended brakelines for this custom application. The point is, I may have found a solution that fits the budget for this rig, and I'm looking for info related to that. If I was looking to "avoid headaches" I wouldn't be sticking an SAS under a twenty-year-old rig.

Go to the dealer and pick up the smallest brakeline they carry...it cost me about $5.00.
Cut it in the center and remove the two fittings. Now take a length of new brakeline, cut to length, about $5.00. Use the standard yota fittings on each end, bleed as required and save yourself $$$. All you really need are the OEM fittings and some new line.
I learned this trick from my local dealer's parts guy when I was looking for my front brakelines. He tells me all the tech's use this trick, but then charge the customer for the OEM part, pocketing the difference.
PS: NCSU is only trying to be helpful, just like everyone else on this forum. They'll probably be less inclined to do so, after reading your curt retort to his suggestion newbie

You are most welcome!
You'll find most people here are pretty friendly. Sometimes we ALL reply before we think, and sometimes the written word fails to convey what we are trying to say, and can come out too harshly. You sound like a "stand-up" sort of person, who will do quite well here.
That brakeline idea IS pretty slick...I've saved myself a few $$ with it. You don't even have to get the part from the dealer...just ask for the "import' type of fittings on the smallest brakeline you can get. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.
