3.4 Swap ECU (AT/Std) question
So I'm looking to swap a 3.4 into my 90 pickup but can only find doners with automatics. Just wondering if I'm going to have ECU issues if I swap it in with my 5spd std.
I'm thinking it'll likely still run but not as well as it could...
Looking specifiaccly at a 3.4/AT from a 1998 4runner
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that there are lots of guys who have done it, all they had to do was "trick" the ECU into thinking it was in neutral.
Poke around the 3.4 swap section. I think the answer is in there somewhere.

yes , Rob is correct ... i'm not sure of the consequenses though . I'm doing a 3.4L SC in my Trekker .. MTM .. I got a computer with the swap parts , but I thought I had an issue with it , so I ended up searching accross Canada for another .. I found only 1 , so I bought it .... turns out my issue was with the MAF , so I now have a spare computer
