3.4 l vs. 3.0 l

I have a 95 4runner which i blew the engine early at 157 XXX miles and now im gonna put a new engine in it however i had a couple questions.

first off which engine is going to be cheaper the 3.0 or 3.4 v6?
next am i going to be able to fit a 3.4 into my 95 runner very easily with out having to do much different than the 3.0
or would i just be better off rebuilding the 3.0?

thanks

I can't wait till my 3.0LD goes. It's weak and a gasaholic...Pain in the arse to work with...Do a 3.4 swap...There's a lot of info regarding the swap here...Go to ORS for further detail:

the swap is easy and im mean easy and i swaped out a 22re. the 3.4 is basicaly a bolt in swap for the 3.0. the ors harness was nice 4 wire hookup. you can easily do the swap without their kits. if you need some more info let me know. im into mine for $2300 but the motor was free but that includes the trd blower, tranny, tase, headers, clutch etc.

Did it and don't regret it. Search and ye shall find.

I found www.andrewzook.com to be one of the best resources.

There are lots of articles on it, too, on other sites. Mechanically, the engine will bolt up to your 3.0 engine mounts. You'll need to swap over the oil pan and pick up, oil dipstick, and oil pressure sending unit. If you're doing a 5 speed, you use the clutch, flywheel and pilot bearing from the 3.4 and the throwout bearing from the 3.0.

The rest is wiring and custom exhaust.

I did mine back in August and love it.

Awww, man, I wish mine came with a blower for free!

I figure, all told, I was into it for about $3400, including engine and exhaust.

Weird...

Most guys I know no longer get blown after the divorce... even if they offer to pay for it. Your Ex sure is nice.
