3.0 V6 Rant

Im really tired of my truck giving up on me, I havent giving up on it yet, my 88 xtra cab most likely will be needing rebuilt, I dont have time or knowledge for a swap so rebuilding my best choice, at least all the gaskets. First it was small external HG leak, now it leaking everything from everywhere just sitting in my garage, plus front diff is messed up and winters coming soon, and you know how hard it is to find a power window/lock switch for an 88 pickup? I love the truck, especially the primered grey rusty bed and severe body damage, but its starting to become to much for me. Im already looking at my local craigslist for another xtra cab with a 4 cylinder, should never have sold my 86 4Runner. but then again, I have said that before but as soon as its running again Ill fall back in love. Ill be moving in April so ill see if I decide to take my truck, or sell it for another before or after. I guess I should wait until its running safely again.

What do you expect for a 25 year old truck? These trucks need maintenance, that's half the fun of driving an older vehicle.

This truck probably hasnt been maintained as well as it shouldve, runs great though, doesnt hesitate. doesnt smoke(except cooling seeping on exhaust pipe), idles slightly high, hard to adjust throttle body, plenty of rust on bed and dents, primer grey bed, messed up front diff, cracked windshield, broken power window switch(anyone have one?), but for $600 serving me well. Researching 3.4 swap if i keep it and blazeland lift w/ chevy springs. I love my truck I gotta go apologize

You complain about a $ 600.00 Truck that runs!!!

I spend close to that in a few months just doing normal maintenance on my vehicles.

I would really hate to be around you if you really had problems!!

x2! You know what $600 would get you here in Maryland? A rolling chassis with severe body rust

I cant complain to much, still sitting in garage leaking but still start and runs like normal. I may sell before I move out of state and buy a 90-95 xtra cab or 1st gen taco

Dude, if you can't complain to much, then why the RANT?
It seems every time you post it's a different truck your talking about, but with fat tires, big bumpers, massive gears.

Your all over the place, just fix it.
