3.0 v6 question

has any one ever noticed on a 3.0 when the engine is hot (normal operating temp) and u shut the motor off is the cooling fan suppose to be very stiff to try ro spin by hand. My friend told me that when it gets hot the cluth engages and tryes to spin the fan faster. Im just concerened as to wether or not the fan cluth is about ready to seize up. when i shut off the motor it stops immediatly.

When the motor is cold can you spin it by hand? It's supposed to stop when the motor is hot that means the clutch is working. If you can't spin it by hand when your motor is cold then you have issues with the fan clutch.
