RJR is right.
So the belt had to of slipped on the teeth of the cam gear. So a new clean belt and crank seal could fix it, but I'll still pull the valve cover off to look at the cam when I get a chance.

My 3.0 was failing horribly. I could not tell my crank gear was bad intil I loosened the bolt and also my belt tensioner was bad. These two working together was causing my belt to slap which was slowly working my left cam out of time one tooth at a time over a period of time with no obvious wear until I pulled it and did a close inspection. Okay so left is the passenger side if that is off I believe you might have a faulty brand new tensioner if that cam gear is solid. Best of luck.
