ok, just swapped in a new motor and a tranny...going from an auto to a 5 speed. I've tried searching and I just can't seem to get the right magic words to find what I'm looking for.

The motor turns over just fine, there's fuel, spark, air and compression, although I think maybe there isn't enough fuel getting in because when I spray starting fluid into the TB it will kick a few times and and then just go back to turning over. I'm wondering about possibly a bad distributer, or maybe even bad injectors in the donor motor, although it was claimed to be running (harness was removed for another vehicle).

The next question I have is whether there is anything special you need to do to the computer to switch the tranny? I've jumped the appropriate wires to let it turn over, but is there something else that needs to be done? Could this be why it won't start? I've been over everything and I've plugged everything in that I have found (save for the auto diagnostic port thing and transmission stuff). Snyone have any good ideas where I should go from here?
